Titus-Fort Collins Senior

Meet Titus. This young man is like family…FRAMILY. I’ve known him since he was 10 years old and his parents since I was just out of high school (and that was a REALLY long time ago but I’m not going to mention the years). This is the first of our kids to graduate (of any of our friends’ kids) that I have had the privilege to photograph as a Senior in High School, so forgive me if I get a little emotional.

Titus has always been a little on the quiet side, but never one to back down from an intense game of uno or spoons. He will wrestle my boys to the ground all day long and still take them on in a game of Monopoly (thankfully because I hate that game!) He is the ping-pong champion and trampoline guru. He has a heart of gold and is always up for fun. AND I can’t believe he is already a SENIOR this year.

I was so excited to hike through the San Juans, along the Rio Grand River with Titus and his mom for these photos. We’ve done this numerous times before but this time he looked a little different. A little older. And it started to sink in for me just how different these next years will be for him and for his family. As I looked at the back of my camera after the first photo, I didn’t see the little boy that was running around playing in the woods all the years. There was a young man. And I didn’t expect the wave of emotion to hit me like it did…a few momma tears were shed by me AND his momma. I quickly did my best to pull myself together…because in a few years I’ll be there with my own kids, and it’s going by so crazy fast!

I can’t wait to see your next chapter, Titus. You will do great, whatever it is. Remember a couple of things for this year: Make good decisions and don’t be afraid to fail. Be afraid not to try.

Xoxo,

Can we talk about this Fort Collins Senior’s curls? So cute. And what a wonderful variety of senior pictures for him and his family to remember senior year with!

I bet you loved being able to photograph this young man after knowing him for so many years! His senior pictures look great and I’m sure the family will be excited to display them in their home!
