It’s been SO long since I have updated the blog, I feel like I need to start all over! My busy season started in August and is starting to slow down just a touch, right now. Between school photography, senior sessions, families, maternity sessions, and some sweet kiddos it has been a whirlwind and that is not even including day to day life, ha! Needless to say, it has been BUSY! But that is such a good thing and I’m so excited to share all these beautiful people with you!

While I do focus mainly on kids and teen photography, I do also capture families and maternity as well. Today I’m going to be showing you some of our sweet friends that said “See Ya Later” and moved on to bigger and brighter adventures in Oregon. These friends lived in our neighborhood, our boys played with their kiddos, and we got to know them really well over the last few years through work. We miss seeing them walking their dog and the kids riding their bikes and scooters.

This session could not have been more perfect. We did an early morning session so the kids were happy, the light was gorgeous, the river was close by, it was quiet and cool. The early hints of fall were lingering in the air. They wanted a location that reminded them of Montrose. Somewhere that they went frequently, that the kids could look back on and think about when they lived here. They had been here for 9 years so this place had a place in their hearts.

Of course at the end of the session we had to throw some rocks in the river. And no kidding, first rock little man threw in splashed mud ALL OVER HIS FACE! Poor little dude! But he laughed and was good to go. Dad cleaned him up and we kept playing. There’s a reason the river is always last!!

I look at these photo and they make me smile every. single. time. I hope they do for this sweet family as well.

your friendly neighborhood montrose kid and teen photographer,
