Norah’s Colorado Senior Session
by Candace Miller Photography, Montrose CO
Meeting new people is always the fun part of being a photographer. New people, new ideas, new experiences. You never do the same thing twice. Even if you are in a specific niche, every photography session is going to be a little different and that’s what makes this job so much fun and so inspiring.
Meet Norah. Norah will be graduating from high school this year from Booker T. Washington High School, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While she was checking out colleges and visiting family, Norah planning to have her senior photos here in Montrose, with me! She loves the landscape in Colorado and one of her favorite places to visit is the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park…so that’s where we went first. The views there are breathtaking. Although, walking the trails in heels is a little difficult, Norah made it look easy and we had a blast turning hiking trails into red carpet runways.
We made multiple stops at the Black Canyon and once we were finally finished capturing all the natural beauty we could take in, we went to the most luscious back yard! Her grandparents have really turned their yard into an oasis. There were so many things and places to choose from, we had to use a little bit of everything…and Norah had outfits that coordinated with just about everything, perfectly. We moved things around, benches, and chairs, and flower pots, and it was like my very own little outdoor studio. And their hospitality was wonderfully appreciated.
Norah plans to attend college to study electrical engineering. She LOVES coffee. She’s ambitious, funny, smart, outgoing, her favorite color is blue, and Stranger Things is by far her favorite show. Obsessed might be the word you could use…hahahaha…we talked a little bit about it.
I hope all of your dreams come true, beautiful girl. I can’t wait to see where your story leads.
