I am always extremely happy when people choose me to be their photographer. There are a lot of choices out there and I’m grateful to even be considered. But when a family chooses me to create and preserve some of their memories and special moments before they move across the country, I’m honored.
For this session, we wanted to make it a “classic” Colorado session but not go too far outside of Montrose, so a tree farm was just perfect! These beautiful blue spruces are my absolute favorite trees and they make such a beautiful backdrop for a wintery holiday-ish scene. Little man was able to run around and play, the whole family was able to snuggle up close to stay warm for a bit, and just enjoy the fresh Colorado air and each other.
I don’t know if you all know this but moves are a little stressful…ok usually a lot stressful, especially with little ones (we’ve done it a few *ahem 5* times). And add in the fun of a pandemic and it’s just craziness. So some time away from the house, spending time as a family, and focusing on what matters can really make a difference.
I hope this session was a little break from the chaos. A little breath of fresh air. And a little change of focus. On to bigger and better things for the new year! Good luck with the move and hugs to you all.
