We always tell ourselves that once summer arrives we will have time to slow down and relax and just take things a day at a time don’t we? Has that ever been the case? I don’t know if it has, maybe during COVID, because we had nothing we could actually go do, but this summer has been busy like all the rest! Between work and play and trying to fit in family time and keep everyone happy, life gets a little nuts sometimes, and that is one of the reasons it’s been so long since you’ve heard from me on here.
However, it has been a beautiful summer of kids and families and maternity sessions! I can’t wait to show them all to you! This first family was so much fun. The kids were amazingly well-behaved, we were able to finish up before it was crazy hot (it was in the 100s the week before when we had originally scheduled their session), and the location was stunning as well!
We started out the session snuggling with mom and dad and slowly moved into the kids by themselves. This gave the kids an easy transition to getting used to the camera and the stranger (me), and by the time it was all over we were playing with bubbles and getting real smiles, giggles, and emotion that tells the story of this family. The time and place that they are in in their lives at this moment. These babies won’t be babies forever, BUT we captured them just as they were.
