A New Adventure Awaits

This blog post comes with many emotions attached. It is with a heavy heart that I write to you that my family will be leaving Alamosa and the San Luis Valley. We have loved our time here and loved our community. We love our home. All of our friends have truly made this little town into our home and we are very sad to be leaving. Sometimes things happen that are out of our control and seem to be divine intervention. This is one of those times…as was coming here. Everything has fallen into place so effortlessly that that is the only explanation.

So we will be off on a new adventure this summer. We will be moving to Montrose, CO where my husband has taken a new job. We are excited about this new adventure as there are lots of fun things to do in our new town! When we visited a few weeks ago we did some of the must see/do things on the list.

1. Black Canyon!! The Black Canyon is gorgeous year round. In the winter (at least when we were there) part of the road was closed for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. There are also some trails that you can hike around on with your snowshoes.

2. The Rec District!! The new Rec Center in Montrose, CO is fantastic! They have an awesome pool with a play area for the littles. They also have a lazy river that my boys called a “whirlpool”. They constantly swam in circles and tried to fight the current.

3. The Rec District Rock Climbing!! The Rock climbing is awesome! The boys practiced all the moves they know and they loved that they actually had the harnesses so they could jump down on their own! They had so much fun!

4. Water Sports Park!! We actually did not get to visit this park but we can’t wait to try it out!

As you can see, we are excited about our new town and can’t wait to become a regular at some of these fun Montrose spots.

Lots of love to all of my Alamosa and Valley friends and clients. You all have meant so much to me and will forever hold a very special place in my heart. If I could take you all with me and create my own little village, please know that I would take you in a second. For now I’ll leave you with a quote from A.A. Milne that sums up perfectly how I feel.

“How Lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
